This family has become some of our dearest friends over the last few years as our children were in daycare together. For our session, their 4 year old daughter was an absolute ham, in the best way possible, while their son was much more skeptical of the whole situation at first. Understandable and perfectly normal for a 2.5 year old!! Once he warmed up though, those smiles of his were to die for! (Future clients - remember that! Sometimes kids can take a little while to warm up, not to fear though! With a little patience and play, they will come around.)
If you don't know my background, I previously focused on wedding and engagement photography in my 20's, but when I started a family of my own, I took a step away from my photo business for a few years. I have been really wanting to get back into it and family photography definitely has felt like my calling, but I just hadn't made the move.
When the P family and I were talking one night and we made a plan to take some family photos, I thought it would be fun to satisfy my creative itch and give their family some lovely photos. Let me tell you though. I had no idea how much this session would reignite my passion for sharing my photography with others. It took no time at all for me to freshen up my website (and shortly after, build a new one - which you are on now, hello!), reactivate my Facebook business page, and start booking clients again. I am so touched by the outpouring of support and encouragement from my friends and community. I am so excited to keep capturing moments and sharing images that families will cherish for generations to come!
